Welcome to the new and improved ‘Conner Christmas Newsletter’!

I have a quick update on what I want this newsletter to be, and why I have been MIA for months….

The first update is that I’ve switched over my newsletter platform so I can more accurately send show updates to people in different cities and regions - I felt bad spamming people with shows that they wouldn’t be able to attend, so now that shouldn’t be an issue!

I also have a big life/career update - I AM NOW A FULL TIME ARTIST! It took me a few months to get my feet under me and fully accept that this is now my life, which is part of the reason you’re receiving this update! I was very bogged down by my day job and after quitting in august I’ve had a lot more time to plan and execute a comedy/entertainment career I am proud of.

Thanks for being some of the first to be a part of it!

my plan with this newsletter is to update you all on shows within your region, as well as provide exclusive ‘blog’ type artist journal entries so you can get to know me more as a human and not just a jester. Comedy has always been a huge part of my life, but this year I’ve undergone a shift and am readopting more of my theatrical background, as well as expanding my knowledge and artistic expression. Welcome to Conner 2.0! (I am finally medicated)

my goal is to build connection with my fans through this ‘newsletter’ and hopefully find out more about you! I’ve known for a long time that one of the main reasons I’m on this earth is community. Bringing folks together, fostering friendships, and creating spaces for folks to feel comfortable being their authentic selves, free from societal programming.

I’m a clown with a mission, and that mission is to create pop up shows that feel like you’re entering a sovereign-nation that allows you to embrace, forget and face things in your life, all within a space without consequence.

NOW, that may sound like an ‘anti-woke’ sentiment, but I assure you it’s the opposite. For me, performance/art/entertainment has always been a place where I can feel the entire spectrum of emotions safely. It has an off switch, unlike life. So whether it’s a stand up show, film/tv, or theatre piece; know that you’re safe at my shows.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN FUTURE NEWSLETTERS

I’ll be using this space to update you on shows, as I’ve mentioned; I’ll also be practicing my written storytelling skills by providing a monthly ‘journal entry’ - this will be a window into my personal life as well as a way to catch preliminary drafts of stories I want to eventually tell on stage. I really don’t know exactly what these will be, so I’m keeping the subject-matter open. As a part of my newsletter, you’re some of my biggest fans, and I’d love your feedback on my writing/storytelling, if you have it - good or bad, as long as it’s contructive.

tell me where I should do shows, what I should talk about more/less, and what you find interesting vs. What is boring. You are the people who come to my shows after all! I might as well learn what it is you like and don’t like.

yes, that means these will be longer than they once were, but I hope they will also be more engaging! So THANK YOU again for your ongoing support 🙏 as much as I don’t want to let you down, I want to exceed your expectations of what I can do EVEN MORE.

Lots of work for me ahead, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love what I do, and I hope that translates in the shows I put on.

Cheers to you all this holiday season - I appreciate you and will hopefully see you out at a show soon.

With love and magic,

Conner Christmas
